Mary has spent over 15 years in the great Hair Industry, receiving her training as a dual-specialist from Toronto’s Aveda Institute and Academy. Shortly thereafter, the next chapter of Mary's career brought her to Winnipeg, where she was employed with Aveda's Modern boutique, Salon Pop. Here, Mary developed a powerful sense of confidence, moved into Senior Stylist status and was able to explore her interests in the fashion industry by traveling to New York City to work backstage at NY Fashion Week.
These achievements marked in such a short amount of time caught the eye of her alma mater, and Mary was invited back to the Aveda Institute and Academy, this time to teach at the Winnipeg branch. Mary's passion to mentor others, to be inspired by young creative minds, and to constantly challenge the creative approaches to hair gave her the positive reputation as one of the leading stylists and educators in the industry.
There was still one place in Mary's heart that she couldn't wait to share these professional experiences with, and for her it was her hometown, bringing Mary right to the doors of Bliss. Sticking with her Aveda roots, Mary is overjoyed to marry her passions of art, fashion and education and thrive as part of an intimate, family run and community based business. Mary loves doing hair, and values each guest that sits in her chair taking pride in letting her work speak for itself.
